Occupation 101

Although this site focuses mainly on the Lebanon-Israel conflict, I often feel the need to empathise with the Palestinians, Lebanon's neighbours who have suffered the most at the hands of Israel.

I watched a very powerful and brilliant documentary today called Occupation 101. It's a remarkable portrayal of the Israel-Palestine conflict - makes you boil in anger and wallow in despair at the same time.

our mission

  • Our mission at www.lebanon-israel.info is to contribute in informing the world about the reality of the Lebanon-Israel conflict. There are people who give up their comfortable and luxurious lives to travel to the Middle East to protest against Israeli oppression and to help the homeless, sick and hungry who are suffering as a result. Some have even given their lives - Rachel Corrie the American activist was crushed by a bulldozer in 2003 while protesting against a house demolition in Gaza - she was only 23. We are not as brave, selfless or noble as these volunteers are - they are heroes and deserve the utmost respect. That said, the least we can do is include some facts on this site and record our thoughts and opinions on the Lebanon-Israel issues and hopefully change people's views for the better. We can do that much at least.
